aaaaaand we're back.

It seemed simple enough. We had our week and a half or so in the studio, went on tour, took a break for the holidays and figured we'd get everything done in the week of studio time we'd booked. Then we started listening to the rough mixes and made notes, had meetings, discussed what to add and what to throw out, what needed to be redone and ended up with copious amounts of hieroglyphic scribblings and PDFs (ambition levels vary throughout the band). Now our week of studio time is upon us and it doesn't feel at all like too much time anymore. Which is why this next week will kick ass!

If you want to stop by and say hi and bring us coffee (black, except for Jimmy, put a shade of milk in his) we'll be in Studio Cobra, Hälsingegatan, Stockholm, Wednesday through Sunday. Kicking ass!

Happy New Year!

"Far and away my favorite indiepop release of 2009, I mean it. Not too cloying, never too twee; just quality Norrland pop rock'n'roll. If you like Park Hotell (you should), you've love this too. Doesn't hurt that Mattias Alkberg of The Bear Quartet lends his vocals to two of the five songs, but they would still be a fantastic band even without his help."

- It's a Trap! on Valencia EP

As the holidays are wrapping up and our little band is starting to regroup in Stockholm, we'll get back to what we were doing. Another week of studio sessions for the new album in February, hopefully a couple of gigs around Sweden, and finally getting around to writing new material.

We wish you all the best in the year to come.

You still love rock n' roll

A little album update:

We have finished recording all instruments and lead vocals. Markus and Jimmy are going to tend to all the fine brush strokes while the rest of the band try to make it big in Indonesia. Yes, we work worldwide in squadrons now. We're hoping to have the thing mixed and mastered before the year comes to an end. Don't know how far hope gets us, though.

There is no album title as of now, just suggestions. No art work yet either, but a couple of good ideas. As you can tell from the set list below, we debuted two new songs live in England, which was awesome.

We'd really like to head out and play in the beginning of 2010. Especially places we haven't played before. Skåne would be nice. Or western Sweden. We love Scotland as well. The Faroe Islands would be nice. Or somewhere sunny. Our point is that if you have a place for us to play and a crowd to play in front of, drop us a line.

PS. Here is a Spotify link to Wilcos live album, in case you haven't heard it. DS.

UK Tour part 3 day 3 n 4

Hi folks!

Day three and four is our only days off during this tour.
We've spent them in the best way we could. Yesterday we slept too long and then visited a nice indian restaurant and had a few drinks in the bar where Rebecca from TSSLS works. Today we took the train to Newcastle to visit an art museum called The Baltic. It was really good, especially the floor called Parrworld, a photo exhibition by Martin Parr. Check it out.

Later tonight we're heading back to the White Room where Matthew from TSSLS will be dj:ing. It's actually £5 in and then free drinks all night. That's bizarre compared to home where you get one single beer for £5.

The tour continues tomorrow in Middlesbrough. It will be really nice. The last gig before Markus arrives.

UK Tour part 3 day 2

Yesterday was totally amazing. Almost everyone in Sunderland was dressed up for Halloween. So were we. The gig was really good and the following club night was fantastic.

Tomorrow we're heading for Newcastle, our last day off without any gigs, probably gonna do some shoping and stuff.

Talk to you soon.
